#4 on the way

Well there are probably many of you out there that don't know that we are expecting another baby. Hopin for a boy, but a girl is fine too. No, really it is. Nix is due May 31, so it is a ways off. I think this will be our last child, but who knows, stuff happens.

Halloween

Well as most of you know, we don't celebrate halloween. Red is the most upset about it, because at her mothers house they do it. Mini asks questions about it but isn't to devastated in the fact of not doing it. Also of course Monkey has no idea. We do try and get some candy for the kids and watch some wholesome movies. We usually end up going to my mothers house and hanging out. I often get many questions on why we don't do halloween. Well the biggest thing is it is a holiday to celebrate satan. But there are also others. You teach your children to be good people. To stay away from evil, and you try to shield them from such things. Then halloween comes around and people let their kids dress up as devils and witches and such. This kinda seems to be counter productive on keeping evil away from children. Also, why do so many people seem to do so many evil things on halloween? You never hear of your neighbors bringing you Christmas candy or cookies with razorblades or poison in them, but many reports a year of it happening on halloween. Besides the religious reasons i don't celebrate it, there are also those that are common sense.

First day of PreSchool

Mini's first day of School! She has been asking everyday for 3 weeks when she gets to go see her teacher. Red has been in school for 3 weeks, so she thought she should be in school by now! All moring long she kept asking if we were late! She didn't want to miss anything on the first day! She is getting to big!

First day of Second Grade

Red's first day of Second Grade. We all got to take her to her classroom! She is such a beautiful, smart girl! I can't believe she is already in second grade! She was so excited to see some of the kids from last year! She also made some new ones!

Ball season almost over

Well we only have about one week of ball games left for Red and Mini. It has been really fun to watch. We still can't find our camera so I guess it is time to buy a new one. That's really OK, because we have had that camera since our first Christmas almost 6 years ago. I (Chux) am supposed to start playing softball this July with Zac and Dusty. It should be fun, as long as we don't drink to much beer before the games. But I guess that could be fun too. Anyway, I just wanted to give an update. Also some big news in our house has to do with Stars Dance. Red is now a small star, instead of a mini star. Mini is also a micro mini star now. They are pretty excited about that. The only down side is now when we go to dance comps we have 2 girls to watch instead on 1. SO we all know what that means. I will be stuck there all day. Well that is my update for now. I am also adding some pics that the girls took on their own cameras.

Been Awhile

Well we haven't posted for a while, one reason being our camera is lost. We went camping over memorial day weekend and somehow lost it, or I would have posted those pis too. I can tell you we did get rained on, and even the most waterproof tent is only waterproof through so much rain. We did have fun though. Hopefully we can find the camera and post some pictures. Lately we haven't been up to much. Red and Mini have ball games all week so that is what our week consists of. We did go to the drive inn on saturday and watch Monsters vs. Aliens and Star Trek. We invited all the inlaws, and Moe and Sid. Kids had a blast. I also got an early b-day present. My father-in-law gave me a truck, pretty cool. It needs a few things fixed, but all in all its pretty good.

Red in newspaper

Well Red made it in the local newspaper. Her showteam took 1st place at the Utah Valley Dance Competition. She was really excited about being in the paper. We didn't even know about it until she came home one day and told us. Went to try and find one last night but everywhere was sold out. I managed to find one this morning in the hospital gift shop.

Mothers Day

Well I hope Nix had a good Mothers Day. She got a few things. She got all the stuff for her garden, some pretty (expensive) flowers and of course breakfast in bed. Which she thought would be easier to eat at the table, so she came down stairs. We had a bbq with my brother and his family, and of course, my mother. My sister and her family came out friday and stayed till saturday evening. It was nice to see them. We all got together up at my moms friday night and talked, then watched JEFF DUNHAM. Good Times.

Well Mini had her first game tonight. She did really good, except when she was in the field she didn't want to run to get the ball. But she did hit some HOMERS!!!! Her number is 5.

Well Red had her first softball game tonight. Her number is 3. Didn't get many pics though. When Nix tried to take one of her batting, she got hit in the face with a tumble weed by Mini. Here she is playing pitcher.

Dance Competition

Red has a competition in Utah county this weekend, and they reported on the news that one of the H1N1 flu cases are there. So do we go to it, or avoid the crowded places as a safe precaution. We still haven't decided. Don't want to look like we are panicking, but we also don't want to expose our kids to it intentionally. If we end up going, then look for pictures from the competition later in the weekend.
